Schedule: 

  • (2) 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm shifts
  • (3) 9:00 am – 5:00 pm shifts
  • (2) Sundays a month from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Position Overview:  

  • Performs all pre-examination testing with accuracy and attention to detail, visual acuity, depth perception, pressures, color vision, and more.
  • Knowledge of basic ocular medical terminology and abbreviations
  • Ability to complete patient work including but not limited to auto-refraction and Visual Fields.
  • Maintain complete and accurate patient records by gathering medical history information.
  • Maintain a professional atmosphere and appearance of the doctor’s exam lane and pre-test equipment.
  • Scribe for an optometrist
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • Must be available to work; day, evening, and two Sunday shifts a month.
  • High School Diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or equivalent related job experience
  • Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills are required.
  • This position requires a team player.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • EMR experience
  • Scribe experienced.
  • Optometric tech experience

Pay & Benefits:  

  • $22 per hour, commensurate with experience.
