STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for a Chemical Clean Trainee to join the team. This position is responsible for processing metal assemblies and manufactured components through a series of chemical cleaning and clean room operations using water, solvents, and alkaline solutions. The role ensures parts meet strict aerospace cleanliness standards by performing timed chemical baths, drying processes, and inspections while following all safety and quality procedures. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and with reasonable accommodation when necessary.

Job Description

  • Hazardous Waste handling, coordinating, and shipments
  • Performs a variety of chemical processing tests on bathes
  • Chem Clean and Clean Room maintenance & scheduling
  • Participates in Research & Development Testing
  • Completes inspections of assemblies and components to ensure quality of standards are met  
  • Requests quotes, purchases chemicals and supplies
  • Mixes Tanks
  • Train/Cross Train new Chem Clean & Clean Room Operators
  • Records and maintains documentation of test results and data into computer & logs.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Consistently, regularly, and predictably at work and on time.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education, Certifications, Licenses, & Registrations: Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
