Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a professional appearance, manner, and approach while on duty.
  • Works in a manner that promotes a safe and sanitary environment for staff, residents and visitors; makes efforts to reduce safety hazards, accidents, and injuries.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of resident/family information at all times.
  • Ensures the provision of high quality services and service delivery to residents.
  • Cleans dishes per procedures.           
  • Assists in keeping dining room wait station areas and equipment clean and orderly.
  • Sets up buffet tables as directed by supervisor.
  • Maintains clean, ample supplies of dishes, flatware, glasses, cups, and folded napkins.
  • Maintains tabletop condiments.
  • Maintains cleaning and set up of dining room tables as requested.
  • Delivers and picks up room service trays as directed by supervisor.
  • Assists with special events as directed by supervisor.
  • Performs daily cleaning tasks and weekly deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Demonstrates safe food handling procedures with special emphasis on critical control.
  • Assists in food prep as requested by the Executive Chef. Performs other kitchen related tasks as directed by the Executive Chef

Qualifications

Experience/Training/Education/Certification:

  • Less than high school education or greater; or up to three months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. 
  • Maintains food handler certification as required by regulating bodies.
