AET is hiring a Traveling Renewable Energy Field Technician of projects typically lasting 3-9 months
Job Summary
The Renewables Technician plays a critical role in supporting renewable energy project operations by performing on-site inspection, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of wind, solar, and battery storage systems. This position is responsible for field-based soil and concrete testing for wind farm construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project specifications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety while contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality renewable energy projects in a fast-growing sector.
This role requires frequent travel, with projects typically lasting 3-9 months (depending on project scope) before transitioning to the next assignment. Tower climbing is not a component of this position. Housing and food expenses are covered via a generous per diem allowance.

Base compensation is expected to be in the range of $21.00 and $23.00 per hour based on skill set and experience. This job primarily operates in a field environment in outdoor conditions on construction sites with uneven ground and adverse weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
