Job Description

About the Role:

The Warehouseman plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within the warehouse environment. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing stock in a systematic manner, and preparing orders for shipment to meet customer and company requirements. The Warehouseman collaborates closely with logistics, procurement, and sales teams to support seamless supply chain operations. Attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols are essential to prevent loss, damage, or delays in the handling of materials. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall operational success by ensuring that products are handled efficiently and delivered on time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklifts (with certification if required).
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Forklift operator certification.
  • Experience with warehouse management software (WMS) or inventory tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced distribution or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated locations to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders accurately for shipment according to customer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and data entry into warehouse management systems.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks and coordinate with transportation personnel.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or issues related to inventory or shipments promptly.
