Richmond, KY 40475 USA Description The Department of Criminal Justice is currently seeking Housekeepers for the Richmond Campus who enjoy collaborating with others, aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves, and go beyond to get the job done. This position will perform housekeeping functions and all related duties to maintain a high level of cleanliness and deliver the highest customer and resident experience every single day.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleans designated areas of training spaces, common areas, restrooms, dormitory rooms, administrative offices and other areas within the Department of Criminal Justice Training campus and Thompson Hall Dormitory as assigned.
  • Perform general cleaning, floor care, washing, sanitizing, polishing furniture and fixtures, trash removal, stocking supplies and cleaning windows.
  • Ensure housekeeping supplies are replenished in work areas.
  • Ensure that equipment, tools, and supplies are cleaned and properly stored at the end of each day.
  • Operate washing machines.
  • Operate a variety of associated machines and equipment while completing housekeeping and janitorial duties.
  • Maintains cleanliness of machine and storage areas.
  • Other duties as required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous housekeeping experience.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective and appropriate customer service skills, verbal and non-verbal communication techniques, and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Experience carrying out detailed written and verbal instructions.
  • Required to be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Additional Skills:
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Lift heavy objects or work in uncomfortable environments for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently communicate in person or by other means of technology
  • Spend portion of time using computer.
  • May work overtime or alternate work schedules.
