Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical (Telemetry) Full Time Nights

Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 W. Parker Plano, TX 75093

Work hours: Full Time Nights 7p- 7a - Weekend and holiday requirements

Medical Surgical Department highlights:

  • 22- bed Medical Surgical Telemetry unit
  • 1:5 RN: patient ratio, 1 PCT for every 10-11 pts
  • Experience as preceptor and/or charge nurse highly preferred


Here’s What You Need:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program; nursing diploma
  • BSN preferred.
  • 1 year experience as a registered nurse or completion of a RN residency program req
  • RN Nurse Upon Hire Required
  • BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req.

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
