JOB TITLE: Floor care Worker  

DEPARTMENT: Facilities/Environmental Services

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:

Responsible to: Facilities Director 

Responsible for: Does not supervise other employees

Interrelationships: Works cooperatively with all hospital departments

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of tasks to maintain the cleanliness and preserve the appearance and condition of all floors throughout the facility.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Previous experience with floor care equipment is preferred.

Education: High school or equivalent preferred but eight grade accepted.

Req. Cert./

Registrations: Current Kansas driver’s license

JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)

1. Dry mops floors.
2. Operate floor scrubber.
3. Shower scrubs and strips floors.
4. Waxes floors.
5. Buffs floors.
6. Vacuums carpet.
7. Cleans carpet.
8. Assist in cleaning of emergency spills that are observed or requested.
9. Checks and cleans floor equipment.
10. Attends meetings as required.
11. May be assigned to do any or all of the extra job tasks as listed for

   EVS Technician (job description can be reviewed)

1. Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
