Summary

The Business Analyst, Commercial supports the Commercial and Tender Management teams through reporting, CRM administration, data analysis, and commercial operations support activities. This role is responsible for maintaining CRM data integrity, generating pipeline and sales reporting, tracking commercial milestones, and developing sales scorecards and operational dashboards for both corporate and agent office operations.

This position plays a key role in supporting commercial visibility and decision-making through accurate reporting, analytics, and process support. The Business Analyst will work cross-functionally with sales, leadership, operations, and agent partners to identify reporting needs, improve data accuracy, and support operational efficiencies across the commercial organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute commercial operations reporting for corporate and agent office sales teams.
  • Generate CRM reporting, sales pipeline reporting, milestone tracking, and business performance analytics.
  • Maintain and update CRM records to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reporting integrity.
  • Support CRM administration activities, including updates, data audits, account maintenance, and reporting enhancements.
  • Create, maintain, and analyze sales scorecards, dashboards, and KPI reporting tools.
  • Analyze sales and pipeline trends to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for operational improvement.
  • Compile, validate, and manipulate large datasets using advanced Microsoft Excel functionality including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis tools.
  • Develop recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership, sales management, and commercial operations teams.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve reporting processes, data quality, and workflow efficiencies.
  • Assist with milestone tracking and reporting related to sales activities, tenders, customer opportunities, and pipeline management.
  • Identify reporting inconsistencies or data discrepancies and work with stakeholders to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Support process improvement initiatives related to CRM usage, reporting automation, and commercial analytics.
  • Prepare summaries, charts, and presentations to communicate business insights and operational performance metrics.
  • Assist with special projects, reporting requests, and operational initiatives as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in business analysis, sales operations, commercial operations, reporting, or related analytical role preferred.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and sales reporting tools required.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, filtering, and data analysis functionality.
  • Experience working with large datasets and reporting environments required.
  • Freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or supply chain industry experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting sales organizations, tender management, or commercial operations preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, Dynamics CRM, or similar reporting and visualization tools preferred.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of sales and operational reporting metrics.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, reporting platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, talk, hear, and operate standard office equipment including computers, phones, and other technology devices. The employee may occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, or lift office materials up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision and the ability to view computer screens for extended periods of time. This position is primarily sedentary in nature. Work Environment

This position operates primarily in a professional office environment with a low to moderate noise level. For this position, the expected base pay range is $55,000.00 – $65,000.00 Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
