Job Description

Job Title: Sys Analyst/Programmer 

Department: School of Nursing

Location: College of Health Careers,470 Skyview Centre Pkwy, Rochester, NY 14622

Hours Per Week:  40

Schedule: Full-Time, Day/Evening shift, Monday to Friday, - 8 am to 5 pm, May have to work some evenings till 8 pm but not every day 

Position Summary:
Under the general direction, analyses, designs, programs, tests and implements computer systems and programs. Maintains existing systems and collaborates with user departments to determine needs. Provides all levels of documentation and trains users in the operation of their systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the development and installation of in-house developed software.

  • Assists in the installation of commercially developed software and its integration into other RGH systems.

  • Assists in the evaluation of hardware and software products for possible purchase or lease by the hospital.

  • Assists in the maintenance of all application software that is the responsibility of the Information Services Department.

  • Maintains an appropriate level of computer expertise.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Desired Attributes:
  • 1 year of previous experience with programming experience is preferred.

  • Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred

$60,500.00 - $77,500.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
