Job Description

Salary Range: $17.00-$19.00/Hour

Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center is one of the largest community health centers in Massachusetts serving Worcester, Framingham, Milford and the surrounding communities.  We are a thriving and growing organization, and our team is expanding across sites to support this growth.

We are currently hiring a Dental Receptionist based in Milford, MA.  The Dental Receptionist is responsible for patient registration, completion of subsidized health insurance applications, insurance verification, assessing patient eligibility for state and federal health insurance entitlements and educating patients pertaining to related entitlements/programs, data entry and clerical duties.

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for managing schedules by confirming appointment slots for providers and ensuring correct timing for procedures.
  • Tracks no-show appointments, fills open slots, and coordinates emergency visits.
  • Verifies insurance, directs patients with invalid insurance, and collects co-payments.
  • Maintains accurate records of cash transactions, processes receipts, and forwards to accounting.
  • Processes patient visits, verifying identity, insurance, and completing necessary forms.
  • Greets patients, answers questions, and handles calls courteously.
  • Manages encounter forms and provides monthly summaries. Tracks lab cases and monitors patient waiting list activity.
