Job Description

Overview

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Diagnostic Ultrasound.  They will utilize high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities while complying with Conway Regional Health System policies and procedures. Through documentation and oral communication, essential information is shared with professional/technical health care personnel. Will be responsible for verifying order, charging procedures, working knowledge of PACS system, transport of patients with all necessary paperwork completion.

SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION:

This position is a designated as “Safety Sensitive Position” under Act 593 of the State of Arkansas. An employee who is under the influence of Marijuana constitutes a threat to patients/customers which Conway Regional is responsible for in providing and supporting the delivery health care related services. 


Qualifications

  • Vascular certification from a recognized accrediting body (Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)) within one year of employment.
  • Maintain the professional status “Active” registered member of such accrediting body fulfilling CME requirements
  • BLS certified or eligible
  • Previous computer experience
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and Arkansas Department of Health requirements preferred.
  • Aggression management training prior to completion of orientation

Conway Regional
