Job Description

Kryger Glass currently has an open position for a Glazier Trainee within our Kansas City market.  

We are looking for an individual that is interested in learning a skilled job that is rewarding and excited to be constantly learning from their coworkers.

This is a full-time hourly position that will include a benefit package, which will report to our Downtown Location.  Hours would be M-F; 8 am – 5 pm.

Pay is based on experience; $ 17.00 to $19.00

Essential duties & responsibilities that you will learn will include:

  • Glass handling & cutting
  • Replacing glass in residential homes
  • Window hardware replacement
  • Mirror layout & installation
  • Shower door layout & installation
  • Commercial glass & hardware replacement
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

  • Must hold and sustain a valid drivers license and be insurable by company standards
  • Must be able to pass criminal background screening by company standards and applicable law
  • Must regularly lift and/or move in an outreached position up to 80 pounds.

Kryger Glass Company was started in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1947 by my grandfather, Walter Kryger. We started out as a very small retail shop. My grandpa did it all. My dad started helping out in the shop during his high school years, and joined the company full time in 1957. In the 80s, our family tradition continued as my brother and I joined the company.
