Job Description

Secretary Floater - Crisis Services This position will be located at our Crisis Residential Unit in Dothan, AL Monday-Friday 8am-4pm Position will need to be flexible with working hours,   Responsibilities:
  • Position will be responsible for maintaining clinical records of the crisis programs
  • Assisting therapeutic staff and facility director with clerical duties to ensure patient  needs are met
  • Will be responsible for coordinating MICRS, New Day billing, other hospital billing, program admissions and discharges
  • May be responsible for ordering program supplies
  • Will be responsible for billing of crisis services as required by ADMH, SpectraCare Policy & Procedures, Medicaid, or other parties
  • Will be responsible for completing insurance verification on patients
  • Generating/maintaining reports for various areas of the crisis program through EMR systems and other programs
  • Position will be required to float in other programs as needed
  • Position may be required to train other program secretaries as needed 
  • May be required to perform other duties as necessary.
  • Some travel may be required
  Requirements:
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • At least (1) year experience in a medical office environment with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • A valid drivers license with good MVR
  • Must also be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Successful completion of post-secondary courses in business, typing, business office practices or medical billing/coding is preferred.
  • OR at least one year work experience in a medical administrative role, completing insurance billing and verifications
