Vehicle Detailer (Automotive)

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Vehicle Detailer to join our team. This role is responsible for cleaning, restoring, and preparing new and used vehicles to meet company and customer standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows instructions closely, and maintains a safe and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport vehicles between the detail facility, staging areas, and other locations while following all traffic laws
• Clean and detail vehicles as directed by management to meet company and customer expectations
• Wash, dry, and polish vehicle exteriors
• Clean and sanitize vehicle interiors, including vacuuming carpets and upholstery
• Wipe down and disinfect all hard surfaces (dashboards, consoles, door panels, etc.)
• Clean interior windows and mirrors
• Remove old dealership stickers and apply company branding as needed
• Perform initial vehicle cleaning and ongoing upkeep
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe detail area
• Follow all safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment (including proper use of PPE)
• Communicate effectively with managers and team members regarding vehicle status and needs

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Ability to follow directions and complete tasks independently
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Previous detailing or automotive experience is a plus (not required)

Work Environment & Expectations

• High level of customer service and professionalism expected
• Responsible for handling customer vehicles and company property with care
• Regular interaction with team members and occasional customer contact
• Low supervisory responsibilities (individual contributor role)

Physical Requirements

• Standing: 60% | Walking/Moving: 30% | Sitting: 10%
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to push/pull up to 75 lbs
• Must be able to safely operate vehicles and equipment
• Requires manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail
