Job Description
**$1500 Sign-On Bonus Available**
At Kersting Veterinary Hospital in Chesterfield, MO, we are committed to providing the highest level of care and medical expertise for all types of pets. In fact, that’s our specialty! We are proud members of the Association of Avian Veterinarians as well as the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians.
We offer a range of services for dogs, cats, and exotic pets- including dental care, preventative medicine, and emergency services. We are equipped to handle a variety of medical conditions and injuries, from routine check-ups to complex surgeries. We understand that exotic pets require specialized care and attention. That’s why we take the time to get to know each and every one of our patients and work closely with their owners to ensure that they receive the best possible care!
Our team has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of avian species, from parrots and cockatiels to raptors and waterfowl. We use the latest technology and medical techniques to ensure that our feathered patients receive the best possible care.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Animal restraint, triage of incoming patients, collection and analysis of lab samples, diagnostic imaging, management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases with varying degrees of stability, administration of medications, effective communication of treatment plans with clients, surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
