Key Responsibilities

  • Food Preparation — Wash, chop, measure, and prepare ingredients according to station needs and chef direction.

  • Station Setup — Ensure all mise en place is ready before service and restocked throughout the shift.

  • Cooking Support — Assist with basic cooking tasks such as grilling, sautéing, frying, baking, and plating.

  • Recipe Execution — Follow standardized recipes and chef instructions to maintain consistency and quality.

  • Food Safety — Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and proper food handling in compliance with health codes.

  • Equipment Care — Properly use, clean, and store kitchen tools, knives, and equipment.

  • Team Collaboration — Communicate effectively with chefs, cooks, and dish staff to ensure smooth service.

  • Inventory Support — Assist with receiving deliveries, rotating stock, and minimizing waste.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic Culinary Knowledge — Knife skills, cooking methods, ingredient handling.

  • Attention to Detail — Ability to follow recipes and plating standards precisely.

  • Time Management — Works efficiently during prep and high‑volume service.

  • Physical Stamina — Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

  • Team-Oriented Attitude — Positive, coachable, and eager to learn from senior chefs.

  • Culinary school training or previous kitchen experience preferred but not always required.
