Job Description

   General Manufacturing Associate 1

If you are mechanically included, can work safely and efficiently as part of a team and are looking for an opportunity to grow, a role as a Fisher Barton General Manufacturing Associate might be for you. General Manufacturing  Associates learn skills in one or more Production areas – such as: packaging, warehouse, straightening, broaching, facilities, and grit blasting.  This role is a great introduction to Production at Fisher Barton. At Level 1, You will:

  • Produce, inspect, or package product following work instructions
  • Ensure materials are labeled and packaged properly
  • Accurately complete daily production and quality paperwork
  • Enter data into the computer systems on time
  • Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of working areas
  • May operate forklift and/or overhead crane to safely move materials

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic math skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

Physical | Visual Demands:

  • Ability to stand 8-12 hours a day
  • Ability to sit, stand, squat and bend
  • Reach overhead with one or both arms
  • Repetitive movement of lifting and placing parts on machines / up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally push/pull up to 75 pounds

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing: Loud (Examples:  metal can, manufacturing department, large earth moving equipment)

Shift Options: 

2nd Shift 3:00pm-1:00am Monday-Thursday 

*Friday overtime required as necessary
