New H.O.P.E. CDC

New Hope CDC was officially incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in September 2022. The vision for this organization was born from the unwavering dedication of Pastor Robert Campbell, the visionary leader of New Beginnings Christian Church located in Castle Hayne, North Carolina. For two decades, Pastor Campbell has passionately pursued the dream of creating affordable housing solutions for the community. Under Pastor Campbell's visionary leadership, New Beginnings Christian Church is currently in the process of constructing a remarkable project known as "Covenant Community." This initiative comprises 68 housing units designed to cater to the needs of seniors. Situated on church-owned land, Covenant Community is right on track to welcome its first residents by late 2024. In addition to this senior housing project, Pastor Campbell is spearheading an ambitious endeavor— the development of a 200-unit workforce housing family apartment complex, aptly named "Cypress Grove." In the process of transitioning these significant efforts from the church to a distinct nonprofit entity, Pastor Campbell recognized the critical importance of assembling a dedicated team with a unique blend of personal and professional experience. To this end, he has meticulously curated a board of directors, bringing together a diverse group of individuals with extensive backgrounds in community development, community safety, and social and health equity. These accomplished individuals boast expertise in a wide range of fields, including social work, day centers, night shelters, affordable and supportive housing, community health services, peer support, mental health and substance abuse counseling, informed care, finance, and community advocacy. New Hope CDC is built upon a strong foundation of commitment, expertise, and a shared vision to uplift our community and create positive, lasting change.
