Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the safe operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our facility and production equipment. In this hands-on role, you’ll help ensure equipment reliability, maintain facility systems, and contribute to a strong safety culture.


Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and inspections
  • Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures in accordance with safety protocols
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and regulatory requirements

Equipment Maintenance & Repair

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment
  • Identify issues by observing, testing, and listening for irregular performance
  • Disassemble and repair defective equipment; install new or replacement parts
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance (PM), including:
    • Cleaning and lubricating mechanical components (shafts, bearings, gears, etc.)
    • Conducting monthly inspections and scheduled maintenance

Electrical & Mechanical Systems

  • Install and repair electrical components (wiring, transformers, machine controls)
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment

Facility Maintenance

  • Maintain building infrastructure and systems including:
    • Plumbing, electrical, lighting, and ventilation systems
    • Doors, hardware, and general structural components
  • Perform general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, and groundskeeping

Fabrication & Tools

  • Operate shop equipment and tools (after proper training), including:
    • Welders, cutting torches, grinders, lathes, drills, and milling machines
  • Safely operate hoists and forklifts as needed

Vendor & Inventory Coordination

  • Communicate with vendors to source tools, supplies, and replacement parts
  • Order and maintain necessary maintenance inventory
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs and installations

Team Collaboration

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, leads, and team members
  • Partner across departments to resolve issues and improve operations

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Associate degree, Trade Certification (e.g., Welding), or equivalent preferred
  • 1–2 years of maintenance or related technical experience, or equivalent combination of education and training

Technical Skills

  • Basic knowledge of:
    • Electrical systems
    • Plumbing and HVAC
    • Mechanical systems and preventative maintenance principles
  • Proficiency with hand tools and pneumatic tools
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) and ability to learn maintenance software systems

Core Competencies

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret:
    • Blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
    • Safety procedures and maintenance instructions
  • Basic math skills (fractions, percentages, ratios) for measurements and calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on a team

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Frequent use of hands for tools and equipment operation
  • Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Exposure to:
    • Industrial noise (hearing protection required)
    • Chemicals such as fuels, cleaners, and lubricants

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base pay $25.00 / Hour + DOE
