Maintenance Technician - $18.50/hour

At LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan, our Maintenance Technicians keep rides, exhibits, and building systems running safely and smoothly so guests can enjoy a fully operational attraction every day.

This is a hands-on maintenance role (not a general or administrative position). You’ll be actively troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment across the attraction.

If you like practical problem-solving and staying busy throughout your shift, you’ll fit right in.

Qualifications & Experience

⚙️ What You’ll Be Doing

This is a hands-on technical maintenance role — no desk work.

🔧 Perform daily maintenance and repairs on rides, attractions, and facility systems⚡ Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, AV, and operational issues in real time🛠 Complete preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure safety🧰 Use hand and power tools to repair equipment and systems🎨 Support general upkeep (repairs, painting, installations, basic facility work)📋 Maintain accurate logs, safety checks, and documentation🤝 Work closely with your team to resolve issues quickly and efficiently

👉 Bottom line: When something breaks, you help fix it.

🧰 What We’re Looking For

We are specifically looking for candidates with hands-on maintenance or technical experience:

  • 1+ years of maintenance, facilities, mechanical, or technical experience
  • Comfortable working with tools and equipment daily
  • Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems independently
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Reliable and comfortable working a consistent 40-hour weekly schedule
  • Team-oriented with a proactive, “fix it” mindset

⭐ Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • HVAC, plumbing, or electrical exposure
  • Experience in attractions, entertainment, manufacturing, or facility maintenance
  • Carpentry, repair, or trade assistant experience
