Purpose & Objective of Position

The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Intern will have the opportunity to learn about how the OHS team at Grifols Therapeutics, influences the site safety culture. Responsibilities of the OHS Intern will include:

Collaborating with OHS team on various safety improvement projects
Leading the transformation of the Machine Specific Lockout/Tagout Procedures being posted and made available on the Engineering Drive.
Assisting in the project of reviewing & identifying Confined Spaces throughout the Clayton site. 
Lead the transformation of the Contractor Safety Training program to the ISN online contractor management tool.
Assisting with research into OSHA, NFPA, and other federal and state mandated safety regulations, or other internal regulatory standards for Health & Safety
Promoting safety culture throughout the facility
Assisting with near miss data collection, metric reporting and corrective action close-out

Qualifications/Requirements

Candidate must be currently enrolled in a university, pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Environmental and/or Occupational Health, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related program.
Candidate must currently have GPA of 3.0 or higher
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
Understanding of basic OSHA, OSHA, EPA, and other EHS regulations
Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
