About BISE: Created in the spring 2025, the Butler Institute for Sports and Entertainment (BISE) is an innovative, dynamic hub within Butler University that connects students and faculty with leaders in the sports and entertainment industries. BISE delivers talent, analysis, creative insight, and practical solutions to advance real world projects and address evolving industry needs. By identifying and curating driven, multidisciplinary Butler students, BISE helps organizations activate campaigns, explore fan engagement strategies, and support behind-the-scenes operations, creating a win-win for both industry partners and students.

Job Description: The Butler Institute for Sports and Entertainment (BISE) is seeking a student intern who is organized and excited about the sports and entertainment industries. The BISE intern will report to Prof. Bob Schultz, BISE director, and will provide administrative and marketing support. 

Required Qualifications: Students must be a current undergraduate or graduate student of Butler University. Students must also demonstrate organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The student must have an innovative spirit and maintain flexibility in a start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of startup strategies for BISE projects
  • Manage social media platforms (Linktree, Instagram, LinkedIn), including content creation, graphic design, and post scheduling
  • Track and analyze KPIs and financial data using Excel and Monday.com to measure engagement and ensure alignment with performance goals
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events in collaboration with the BISE Student Alliance and campus partners
  • Coordinate and strengthen strategic partnerships through communication and collaboration with sports and entertainment industry stakeholders
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed
  • Design and create promotional and marketing materials for events and campaigns
