Overview

Job Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in planning, designing, and implementing curriculum.
• Provide assistance as directed by the lead teacher.
• Instruct classroom in accordance with lesson plans.
• Assist in the supervision of students directed by the lead teacher.
• Assist students during lunchtime.
• Implement age-appropriate activities and monitor safety throughout.
• Maintain student records and perform other clerical duties as directed.
• Help maintain a clean and organized classroom.
• Assist students in social skills development.
• Assist in putting up bulletin boards.
• Assist in student bathroom breaks.
• Take attendance and make copies as directed by the lead teacher.
• Operate equipment such as projectors, iPad, and computers.
• Assist in maintaining classroom management plan.
• Prepare and distribute work as directed by the lead teacher.
• Provide guidance and redirection as needed.
• Other duties as assigned. 

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with children preferred.
• Ability to remain calm and pleasant under stressful circumstances.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Excellent communication skills.
