Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Position supports behavioral health operations at clinic locations, managing client access to mental health and other treatment services.   Customer service skills, computer skills and navigating electronic medical records are provisions of the position.   Position requires flexibility in working within a team environment to support clients, managers, and clinical staff.  The Client Care Specialist reports to the Lead Client Care Specialist.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer service to internal and external customers/clients.
  • Assist clients to feel welcome and supported in a confidential manner.  
  • Must remain calm and composed in a high paced environment when working with the general public. 
  • Must be able to request payment of fee(s) in a business-like manner without embarrassment or exerting pressure.   Manage client payment accounts.  
  • Possess the ability to maintain a good rapport with staff, remaining pleasant under pressure. 
  • Accept and manage incoming calls to office location, schedule appointments, relay information, and navigate with the client’s wellbeing in mind.  
  • Triage potential client crisis and connect with managerial/clinical staff.
  • Translation of services for Spanish speaking clientele.
  • Oversee client waiting area to maintain safety, comfort, and confidentiality.  
  • Process point of entry, intake information within our EMR and schedule services based on credentials of staff and needs of the clients.  
  • Responsible for outgoing mail and the sorting and distributing of incoming mail.
  • May be required to substitute for or share duties with other operations staff when necessary.  
  • Position scheduled during Operational hours of the clinic location.
  • Performs related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent with specialized course work in general office practices, computer skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math and ability to prepare written reports is required.  
  • Must possess friendly effective communication skills with clients, staff, and the general public.  
  • Spanish speaking required.
