Job Summary

Plasma Operator operates the plasma machine, which includes load and unloading material, cutting the programs that are downloaded on the plasma machine, retrieving the cut parts from the bed and preparing them for the next operation. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifying correct material for the job. 
  • Remarking the left over material when cutting is complete. 
  • Verifying that the correct head and consumables are being used when cutting material. 
  • Checking the first piece of each order, making sure it fits the criteria set in place on the inspection sheet. 
  • Removing plasma slag from parts to get ready for the next operation.
  • Putting material away in the correct location. 
  • Willingness to assist in other areas as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications (Required)

  • At least 18 years of age (required at all locations)
  • High School diploma or GED (required at all locations)

Job Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Previous manufacturing experience 

Physical Requirements of the Job:

  • Frequent walking, standing, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting and lifting for 8-12 hours per day
  • Able to frequently walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, stoop, push, pull, twist and lift for 8-12 hours per day
  • Able to work in non-climate-controlled and noisy environment
  • Frequent overhead reaching and reaching with both hands 
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or maneuvering loads up to 50 lbs
  • Able to wear and tolerate Personal Protective Equipment (apparel and devices)
  • Vision acuity, corrected or uncorrected, capable of reading documents, blueprints, gauges, equipment settings, calibration instruments, parts labels and written materials
  • Reliable to come to work every day and be on-time
  • Flexible work availability, including Overtime during the week and weekends

2:30pm- 11:00pm M-Fr
Overtime may be required during the week and/or weekends
