JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction and supervision of the Clinical Services Director, the CMA will work closely with the Primary Care Providers and Nursing staff performing a variety of tasks that are under their scope of practice. This will include but not limited to the following: answering clinic phones, phlebotomy, EKG, specimen collection, obtains vital signs and weights of participants, escorts participants to exam rooms, prepares participants to be seen in the clinic and assists physician and nurses in provision of examinations and treatment. If allowed in scope of practice, may administer medications or immunizations as prescribed. Ensures exam rooms are prepared for nursing and physician use and stocked with appropriate supplies. Obtains information from participants as directed by the RN or Primary Care Provider.
