POSITION OVERVIEW
Blackrock Strategy is seeking SkillBridge Interns to support mission-driven efforts across analysis, engineering support, technical writing, knowledge management, and related domains.
This role sits at the intersection of analytical problem-solving, technology assessment, and operational support, contributing to initiatives that accelerate the fielding of emerging capabilities in support of Joint mission objectives.
Interns will gain hands-on experience aligned to their background, company priorities, and client needs, while supporting real-world defense challenges and interacting with government, military, and industry stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis & Mission Support
• Support technology assessments through research, data collection, and analysis
• Analyze complex information to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Develop insights and recommendations aligned to mission objectives
• Assist in evaluating emerging technologies and operational concepts
Collaboration & Execution
• Coordinate with government, military, and industry stakeholders
• Support cross-functional efforts across engineering, operations, and program teams
• Contribute to planning activities and mission support initiatives
• Assist in contingency planning and risk mitigation efforts
Documentation & Communication:
• Prepare reports, briefings, and written deliverables for leadership
• Support knowledge management and documentation efforts
• Maintain organized, accurate, and professional work products
Continuous Improvement
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support implementation
• Apply structured problem-solving and analytical thinking to assigned tasks
• Perform additional duties in support of program and mission objectives
PROGRAM DETAILS
• This internship is part of the DoW SkillBridge Program and is not pre-approved by the Department of Defense
• Participation requires approval through the service member’s chain of command and installation processes
• Internship structure is tailored to individual background, company needs, and client priorities
• Potential for post-internship employment is based on performance, business needs, and client demand
COMPENSATION
• This is an unpaid internship in accordance with DoW SkillBridge program requirements
• Post-internship employment, if offered, includes competitive compensation and benefits based on role alignment
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Active-duty service member eligible for DoW SkillBridge participation
• High school diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in a relevant field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools
• Ability to operate effectively in dynamic, fast-paced environments
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience supporting military operations, Joint planning, or defense-related activities
• Familiarity with technology assessment, data analysis, or knowledge management
• Experience working in multi-stakeholder or cross-functional environments
• Demonstrated interest in emerging technologies, innovation, or defense modernization
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Remote-first environment supporting distributed teams and client engagements

LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Ability to read and interpret technical and operational documentation

• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop logical, actionable solutions
• Capable of interpreting data and synthesizing information from multiple sources
• Ability to adapt approaches in ambiguous and evolving environments
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds as needed
• Regular use of vision, communication, and computer systems in a professional environment
