You have at least six months of non-CDL commercial driving experience and a valid driver's license. You are comfortable operating manual transmissions, passing a DOT physical, and communicating effectively in English for highway safety and record-keeping.

Main Ingredients of the Job

  • Communicate with Dispatcher/Router for truck/trailer and door assignments

  • Keep assigned equipment coupled

  • Move trailers between buildings as directed by Router or Warehouse Supervisor

  • Load, unload or merge loads between environments

  • Stage shuttle trailers nightly for shuttle drivers

  • Set up trailers for backhaul with tractor and empty pallets

  • Place backhauls in correct door to be unloaded by warehouse

  • Make sure all equipment is paired and ready for next day's deliveries.

  • Work with mechanics nightly

  • Must attend all required company meetings.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required

  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions

What You Bring to the Table

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must have valid driver's license issued by state of residence

  • Minimum of six months Non-CDL commercial driving experience preferred

  • Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations

  • Must be able to pass DOT physical.

  • Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries,  and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $21.81/hour and $21.81/hour.
