Key Responsibilities 

As a Scheduler you will be responsible for all patient scheduling, providing routing for all clinical staff, and ensuring that all computer data entry for each patient is accurate and complete.

In this role you will be responsible for: 

  • Contact patients via phone to make provider appointments and ensure patients accept the date and time of visit 
  • Contacts senior living communities / assisted living facilities where patients reside to make and confirm appointments 
  • Handle all calls concerning patient appointments and scheduling changes from the patient and/or provider 
  • Perform accurate data entry when adding patient information into electronic medical records
  • Perform all necessary updating of data in database regarding demographic and service location information 
  • Ensure new patients are scheduled and that follow-up appointments are rescheduled appropriately 
  • Schedule all annual wellness visits within the allotted time dictated by the payor source 
  • Ensure most efficient schedules are created to assist providers in meeting productivity requirements 

Required Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Previous office experience 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to read maps with a general knowledge of the demographic area

Hours 

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
