Job Description

Role description: 

The Line Monitor visually examines and inspects in-process and packed ware. The Line Monitor performs physical tests and detailed visual and specification inspections including spot checks using the established sampling plan.  

Compensation and Schedule: 

The starting pay rate for this role is $23.39 per hour.  Any future increases are dictated by the Collective Bargaining Agreement. 

Rotating swing shift schedule - first, second and third shifts

Responsibilities: 

  • Visually inspect and record packed ware using established sampling plan and report as necessary 

  • Check and record annealing, finish coating, and cold end spray 

  • Conduct internal pressure test and thermal shock 

  • Monitor and react to machine losses 

  • Record discarded mold numbers and re-check discarded mold numbers 

  • Reselect held ware, hand packs, hand stacks, etc. as required 

  • Follow all food safety rules and regulations 

Minimum skills / qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or equivalent 

  • Must be able to physically perform all related tasks associated with the position 

  • Must be able to stand for 8 hours 

  • Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds 

Preferred skills / qualifications:  

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
