Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Outreach Worker at Rediscovery Independent Living! We are an independent living program that houses young men and women ages 18 to 24 years old in small efficient-type apartments or shared living housing. Our program is designed to support the youth we serve as they become successful and productive community members.

Schedule: This is a full-time position that requires travel 3 to 4 days a week in the Waltham, Worcester and Lowell areas; 1 to 2 days in the office in Needham, MA. Mileage reimbursement provided!

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications.  This range may be modified in the future.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field is preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Experience working with older at-risk youth and young adults (17-23 y.o.) preferred.
  • 32-40 hours per week with occasional nights and weekends ensuring all youth needs are met.
  • Bilingual candidates able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of the state DMH and DCF systems is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
  • Must have general computer skills and strong financial literacy skills.
  • Must have an active driver’s license.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
