Cytology Prep Technician - Full-Time - Days

Step into NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, where clinical laboratory professionals are redefining the limits of science and medicine. With patients from across the globe, we study some of the most complex and rarely seen medical conditions. Prepare GYN and non-GYN  smears and stain them according to the type of specimen, coverslip and arrange numerically on trays; prepare reagents and other solutions used in the laboratory in accordance with established procedures. Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards as set by the hospital and laboratory. 

This is a full-time day shift position working 6AM-2PM Monday - Friday. 

Preferred Criteria

• Previous Laboratory Experience

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED
• NYS Laboratory Technologist license or Clinical Laboratory Technician license from the NYS Education Department
