Job Title: Teacher Assistant – Daycare

Job Type: Fulltime

Location: Manville, NJ | Jerry Davis Center for Children & Families

Pay: $17.06/Hr

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience/Training:

• Experience with children with I/DD in a classroom setting preferred.
• Must demonstrate age appropriate good judgment and good safety practices in the classroom or other site.

Job Summary: Assist the teacher in implementing educational and recreational programs in the agency's Childhood Center.

Job Description:

• Assist in providing supplemental instruction to reinforce educational goals and objectives in the following developmental areas; gross motor, fine motor, communication, sensory, cognitive, social, emotional, behavioral, self-help and feeding.
• Prepare designated learning areas and projects for children prior to their arrival as requested by the teacher.
• Assist children with physical needs; feeding, personal grooming and toileting.
• Ensure a safe, healthy environment for the children by following all safety regulations and potential hazards.
