Job Description
The Assistant Coach for Women’s Golf supports the Head Coach in all aspects of managing a competitive NCAA Division I golf program. This individual will contribute to the student-athlete experience by assisting in coaching, recruitment, operations, and academic support. The Assistant Coach will uphold the values and mission of the University, ensure compliance with NCAA and conference regulations, and play a vital role in fostering a culture of integrity, excellence, and student development both on and
off the course.
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
• Assist the Head Coach with the planning and execution of team practices, competitions, and
individual player development.
• Support the recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes in line with
University and NCAA standards.
• Foster a positive team environment that promotes academic success, personal growth, and
athletic achievement.
• Work collaboratively with athletic training, academic services, and athletic performance staff to ensure holistic support for student-athletes.
• Coordinate team travel logistics, practice schedules, and other operational tasks as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Monitor academic progress of student-athletes and support efforts to ensure eligibility,
retention, and graduation.
• Help oversee compliance with all NCAA, American Conference, and University
policies and procedures.
• Participate in community service, alumni engagement, and fundraising initiatives to elevate the program’s visibility and impact.
• Provide mentorship, leadership, and day-to-day support to student-athletes in their college
journey.
• Assist with video analysis, scouting, and player performance evaluation to support competitive
readiness.
• Contribute to the positive reputation and continued success of the women’s golf program and the broader athletics department.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge/Skill/Ability Equivalent Education/Experience
• Excellent written and oral communication and
organizational skills; strong self-starter; ability to
work within the American Conference;
knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; ability
to work closely with a diverse group of people
• Bachelor’s degree; minimum one year coaching and/or playing experience in the sport of golf
• Master’s Degree and demonstrated ability
to work effectively with student-athletes,
faculty, coaches and administrators.

Work requires working with highly sensitive or confidential information and occasional overnight travel may occur.
