What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support therapists with non-billable patient care activities in an acute care setting
  • Assist with patient mobility, including safe transfers, positioning, and transport
  • Help facilitate therapeutic exercises under therapist supervision
  • Observe evaluations, treatment planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Assist with co-treatments requiring additional support
  • Document exercises and interactions in the electronic medical record (as appropriate)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
  • Support unit operations including stocking supplies and preparing equipment
  • Provide excellent service to patients, families, and care team members
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones and supporting workflow

What Is Required (Education)

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Current enrollment in (or intent to pursue) a healthcare or rehabilitation-related program preferred (e.g., Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Pre-PT, Pre-OT, or similar)

Additional Requirements

  • Basic medical terminology knowledge preferred
  • Comfort using computers and electronic medical records
  • Ability to safely assist with patient mobility and physical tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
