Job Description
II. Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide direct and daily care to all residents, including residents of the Home Care Services (HCS) program. This position requires maintaining professional boundaries with residents who live with physical illness, mental illness, and chemical addiction.
The Resident Assistant will authentically implement harm reduction and housing first strategies with residents, de-escalate chaotic situations and effectively redirect residents, and communicate effectively and respectfully with residents who may exhibit behaviors associated with chemical use and various mental health symptoms. Various shifts available, both full and part time, Monday through Friday and may also include weekends and on-call duty. The ideal candidate will have the ability to pick up open shifts on days, evenings, and overnight. Starting rate of pay is $15.00 per hour.
This is a part time position, pay $18.50-$20.50 with shift differentials for overnights, weekends, Holidays and last minute shifts. Benefits include 4% 403B match, dental, vision and limited free telehealth for medical and counseling.

This position is in a supportive housing building for adults living with HIV/AIDS and other disabilities. Many of the residents are formerly homeless individuals. The building is accessible and smoke free. This position staffs the building 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days per year.
The position includes doing laundry, housekeeping, cooking, lifting/transferring residents, and other physical tasks. This position requires the manual dexterity to use various types of medical equipment, as well as the cognitive ability to perform more detailed tasks such as medication administration, charting, filing, and copying. The person in this position will be exposed to body fluids, infections, odors.
