Job Description

Position Summary

The Event Intern, Major Events’ primary responsibility is to serve as event support for the department. The Event Intern will assist the events team with the execution of major events and other internal invents during the duration of the internship. In addition, this position will also include various administrative duties as needed. The Event Intern will report to the Director, Major Events.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist Managers with the execution of their assigned Major Events
  • Attend event related meetings, take notes and share within the department to make sure communication is shared.
  • Help ensure that the stadium is ready for event day by assisting with load-ins and pre-event walks
  • Participates in client site visits and walkthroughs
  • Create and manage a system to compile, organize and keep event related photos
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of post event notes
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet stadium, event, department and business needs

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in facility or event management
  • One year event coordination experience, preferably with a sports or multi-use facility.
  • Experience may include completed internship(s) within the fields of facility/event management or hospitality

Required Skills

  • Team player with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize to effectively meet deadlines
  • Ability to help with event-related tasks; occasionally physical or laborious tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, internet software
  • Strong organization/multi-tasking skills and detail-oriented mindset
  • Ability to be a self-starter--proactive and flexible
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure
  • Able to work late nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays

Able to work indoors and outdoors, lift lifting and long periods of walking and standing
