Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: This is not a remote position. As a production assistant, you are part of a team that embraces the mission of producing K–12 educational materials with a biblical worldview for Christian schools and homeschools. Your primary role is to perform editorial production tasks as assigned, including proofreading textbooks and digital resources. You may be asked to work either independently or under the direction of an editor. Your work increases the value of the products by ensuring their conformity to BJU Press style and departmental guidelines and lowers production costs through efficiency and attentiveness. After successful onboarding, an employee in this position may apply for a hybrid work schedule.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
An applicant for a position in the Bob Jones University group — Bob Jones University, Bob Jones Academy or BJU Press — must be a born-again Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
