Job Title: Quick Lube Tech

FLSA Status: Non-exempt    

Reports to: Store Manager (or similar position)

Job Type: Full time

POSITION OVERVIEW 

The primary role of the position is to support the retail business with oil changes, and lubrication services. This position will also support the tire side of the business and will be required to change tires and perform tire services. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Perform Oil changes by manufactures specifications. 
  • Clean or replace filters as needed. 
  • Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary. 
  • Recommends safety and preventative services to our customers. 
  • Including proper receiving of product into location prior to putting away. 
  • Ensures that customer satisfaction and communication is of the utmost importance.  
  • Assist with opening and closing of store, including end-of-day duties which include:  
  • Facility maintenance and clean-up including but not limited to: 
    • Sweeping, empty garbage cans 
    • Assist in organization of all tire and lube shop related supplies. 
    • Parking lot cleaned of debit and/or garbage. 
    • Warehouse Organization to include ensuring like tires are together, inventory is faced, rows are clean and tidy and help ensure the area stays safe for operating.  
    • Maintains a high level of cleanliness of your workspace including bay areas, Commercial Tire Vehicles, and customer vehicles.  
  • Shuttle and/or customer courtesy driver. 
  • Assist with phone and counter duties as needed. 
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS – Required.

  • Valid Driver’s License and Insurable Driving Record.
  • Minimum age: 18 years 
  • High school diploma equivalent (preferred).
  • Experience in a vehicle maintenance shop (preferred).

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FUNCTIONS

Physical Demands:

  • Standing: 80% | Walking: 70% | Sitting: 20%
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and walking on uneven surfaces
  • Frequent lifting/carrying: up to 50 lbs
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping and dexterity
  • Constant visual, auditory, and verbal communication required

Work Environment:

  • Frequent exposure to noise, dirt, dust, mechanical vibration, fumes, and outdoor conditions
  • Occasional hazards due to mechanical equipment, moving objects, and roadside work
  • Occasional work in extreme heat/cold or wet/humid environments

Equipment Operated:

  • Tire machines, compressors, air tools and hand tools
  • Company-provided software and system for work orders and inventory
  • Required to use protective gear (PPE)
