SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Summer internship is for students to experience the day-to-day processes of the commercial real estate industry by working in a mentorship styled program alongside brokers, property management and associates of SL Nusbaum. It is the goal of the mentors within the program to develop a desire within the student to seek a career in the commercial real estate and property management industries.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• The student will rotate through the various divisions of SL Nusbaum which include, but are not limited to:
  1.  Commercial leasing; commercial management; multifamily management; development; and corporate marketing. 
• The student will shadow mentors through the daily operation of the business as well as participate in broker luncheons, monthly leasing meetings, networking events, touring commercial properties within the Nusbaum portfolio and attend events & seminars.

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Rising college juniors or seniors with a concentration in the business or business finance field; proficient in MS Office
• Rising college seniors; concentration in real estate; involvement in real estate clubs; involvement in extracurricular school activities and philanthropic project involvement; Preferred.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

• Physical Activities up to and including, typing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, or standing for periods of time. 

• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

GENERAL:

• This is a paid summer internship opportunity; based in Norfolk, Virginia with representation in Richmond, VA; and is a six weeklong program.
