Job Description

Hastings College: Graduate Assistant - FootballHastings College Football Program is searching for a Graduate Assistant for the 2026-2027 academic year. Responsible to the Director of Athletics and Head Coach assisting in the overall management and leadership of the intercollegiate program. This program will support the philosophy, mission, and standards of Hastings College, the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), and the NAIA. The Graduate Assistant Football Coach will play a pivotal role in supporting the head coach in the development and execution of the football program at Hastings College. This position is designed to provide hands-on coaching experience while also contributing to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes. 

Graduate Assistant positions include a tuition credits, a $5,000 yearly stipend, 80 meal swipes per semester, and on-campus housing free of charge for the individual.  We are reviewing for an August 2026 start.


Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in developing and maintaining a highly competitive intercollegiate football program within rules and regulations of the institution, the GPAC and NAIA.
  • Cultivate and track long-term athletic development of football athletes.
  • Complete daily operational tasks specified with your position on the football coaching staff, including, but not limited to: scouting, recruiting, practice planning, taking on coaching responsibilities and assisting with the team, travel coordination, and other duties as assigned by the head coach. 
  • Work cooperatively with faculty members, admission, alumni, and development office personnel, the sports information director, all student support services, and all athletic department personnel.

Education & Experience   

Bachelor's degree required. Admittance into the Hastings College Masters of Teaching Program is required.
