Role Description
The IT Intern supports the organization’s technology department by assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, workstation setup and configuration, user account management, and day-to-day technical support activities. This role provides students or recent graduates with hands-on experience in IT operations, network maintenance, helpdesk support, and technical documentation within a professional business environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide basic technical support for hardware, software, printers, and network-related issues
- Assist with setup, imaging, configuration, and deployment of computers and other devices
- Support user account setup, password resets, and access management
- Help maintain IT inventory and equipment records
- Troubleshoot and resolve routine helpdesk tickets under supervision
- Assist with software installations, updates, and system maintenance
- Participate in IT projects, upgrades, and technology initiatives
- Create and update technical documentation and user guides
- Follow company cybersecurity and data protection procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the IT team
Qualifications
Education
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic understanding of computer systems, hardware, software, and networking concepts
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous technical support or customer service experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, or ticketing systems
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 pounds

- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Temporary position lasting approximately 8–12 weeks
