Controls Technician 2 - 2796

Works with Controls team in the automation, programming, and repair of mechanical equipment.

Job Duties

  • Basic knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servos, Ethernet and Communication systems, and Robots
  • Basic troubleshooting of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, AC/DC electrical systems,

       Robots, PLCs, HIMs, VFDs, Servos, Ethernet/Communication systems and ladder logic.

  • Assist in installing and setup of field devices such as lasers, proximity switches, pressure switches, directional control valves, AC/DC motors, etc.
  • Assist panel building and wiring, routing and tying cables, drilling/tapping holes, and building junction boxes
  • Robot trouble shooting and horming.
  • Upload, download, and get online with PLCs.
  • Fanuc Robot program troubleshooting/touch-ups.
  • Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
  • Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education

  • Applicable education and 0-2 years’ experience with Controls and Mechanical engineering

Competencies/ Skills

  • Computer skills, familiar with Microsoft office and related programs.
  • Understanding of Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and AC/DC electrical systems and how to troubleshoot them.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprint/schematic drawings and ladder logic.
  • Good writing and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn
