Leominster Hospital is actively seeking an experienced veterinarian technician. The ideal candidate will be confident working with the veterinary, technician and customer service staff. Be comfortable rooming patients, assisting in surgery, surgical recovery, have experience with proper animal handling and restraint. Have knowledge of x-ray and positioning, drawing blood and running bloodwork, able to use laboratory equipment, understands the importance of client education, is a positive and supportive team player, and strives to continue to increase their knowledge in the veterinary industry and able to remain calm in a high-stress environment. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and at Leominster Animal Hospital we support and encourage our staff to do the same. Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience working as a Veterinary Technician
  • Knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment
  • Understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Positive and supportive team player
