Summary:

Gust Rosenfeld is seeking a skilled and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join our reputable litigation team primarily in the areas of insurance defense, municipal litigation, and commercial litigation. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong legal research and writing abilities and the capacity to handle discovery, hearings, and client communication. The candidate combines strong legal fundamentals with practical litigation experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on case law, statutes, regulations, and legal precedents to support litigation strategy·
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and persuasive arguments; strong analytical skills are essential.
  • Prepare and respond to interrogatories, disclosures, depositions, document production and related tasks.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials; assist senior attorneys in trial preparation.
  • Proficiency in communicating in a clear, logical manner with clients, agencies, courts, and opposing counsel. Provide updates, gather information, and advise clients on legal rights and case strategy.
  • Ability to analyze case law, statutes, and facts to support strategic decisions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Arizona, and in good standing.
  • 0-3 Years of litigation experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge in insurance defense, municipal litigation, and commercial litigation preferred.

Working Conditions:

The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (typical office or administrative work).

Physical Requirements:

· Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to            lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

· Repetitive Motion: Making substantial movement (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.
