We are seeking  an individual who is passionate about joining a team in the manufacturing of high quality laminates and films used in a variety of applications including on cabinetry in kitchen and bath applications, countertops and paneling in recreational vehicles and in the enhancement of interior retail spaces.

The Rewind Operator is responsible for inspecting suspect material to remove defects to mitigate customer complaints. Additional duties include packaging and preparing material for shipment to the customer. This position reports to the Quality Supervisor and will have no direct reports.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with defects specific to product groupings
  • Visually inspect material for defects 
  • Physically remove defects from material 
  • Notify Supervisor or Quality about questionable defects 
  • Label and package finished good to specifications
  • Meet throughput targets
  • Become familiar with SAP operating system 
  • Forklift operation
  • Maintain housekeeping and supporting the safety program 
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Available for OT as needed

 Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong progression of related knowledge/skills throughout tenure with Company 
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment 
  • Basic computer operation 
  • Basic mechanical knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail

 Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of manufacturing or warehouse experience

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed 
  • Frequently positions self to use/maintain personal protective equipment 
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
  • Comfortable with working in a manufacturing environment alongside machines, equipment, etc. 
  • Ability to detect, distinguish, or determine the source of a smell 
  • Exposure or works around chemical processing, unregulated temperature, dusty conditions 

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Forklift experience 
  • Prior exposure to ERP systems 
  • Prior print experience (gravure, flexographic, and lithographic)

 Travel Requirements: 

Time spent away from home or typical office location.
