Summary

InterDigital’s Government Affairs team is offering a 7-week paid summer internship opportunity in our Washington, D.C. office. The intern will work alongside the VP, Government Affairs, observe day-to-day team activities, and gain first-hand exposure to legislative advocacy efforts supporting InterDigital’s intellectual property and patent policy priorities. This position is ideal for a college student seeking practical insight into government relations and Hill-focused work.

Responsibilities

  • Take notes and observe meetings with internal teams, outside stakeholders, and Hill staff.
  • Attends hearings, briefings, and other relevant events with the Government Affairs team.
  • Exposure to basic research and monitoring of legislation and policy developments.
  • Able to review short memoranda, meeting notes, and weekly updates with the team.
  • Develop and print the book for CEO and other executive DC visits. 
  • Help with setup for townhouse events
  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality

Qualifications

  • Currently majoring in political science, public policy, government, or a closely related field.
  • Strong interest in working on or with the U.S. Congress (the Hill).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail.
  • Onsite in Washington, D.C. office, for the duration of the program.

Location: Washington, D.C. – Onsite 16 hours per week
