Job Description

Join our team as a Human Resources Clerk and become an essential part of a fast-paced, supportive HR department. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in Human Resources while contributing to a positive and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer and screen incoming calls and inquiries, providing accurate information or directing to the appropriate personnel.
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail for the HR department.
  • Prepare, maintain, and scan employee files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with departmental procedures.
  • Organize and file various HR-related documents; research as needed.
  • Assist with employment verification requests.
  • Coordinate and send birthday and holiday cards to employees.
  • Process nametag orders for new hires and existing staff.
  • Serve as a backup to the Corporate Receptionist(s) as needed.
  • Support the coordination of company events such as career fairs and community outreach initiatives (e.g., League Against Cancer).
  • Perform general clerical duties, including supply management, equipment operation, and document preparation.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy in interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with center administration and other departments, responding to inquiries in a timely and courteous manner.

Qualifications
  • Bilingual - fluency in English and Spanish
  • Currently enrolled in a Human Resources degree program (preferred)
  • Previous administrative or HR experience (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
