We strive to provide the education and knowledge to our team so they can make great recommendations for our guests and their pets. We seek Team Members who:

Are genuine, have a positive attitude and are helpful

Are able to thrive in a retail environment
Can connect with and engage guests in thoughtful conversations and make recommendations that meet their needs and the needs of their pet
Maintain store cleanliness
Learn and maintain inventory, including receiving, stocking, rotating and facing of product, cycle counts
Participate in merchandising, work on creative display of products
Attend store and company meetings (some meetings may be before or after hours)
Are comfortable with computers, learning new systems, performing transactions for guests at the point of sale accurately and completely
Have accurate cash handling skills, competent with basic math

Required Skills

Must be at least 18 years old
Able to lift up to 45 pounds, can bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb a ladder
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Highly accountable and has integrity
Has the flexibility to work within our normal store operating hours, including weekends
Desire to build a career with us!

How We Started, Where We’re Going Pet Pros was founded in 1986 in Seattle, Washington. Since then, we’ve grown from one store in North Seattle to 24 stores in Washington and Oregon—one of the largest independent pet supply retailers in the Pacific Northwest. We’re still growing, and we plan to keep growing, because building relationships in local neighborhoods is important to us.
